my creative space

Hello! Something new: hand illustrated ceramics! These are three of my own pieces, little testers, but I've got some more ready to go, and the next little while I will be scouring the op-shops, markets & garage sales for pre-loved beauties to add a little touch of Pocket Carnival to.

So watch out!

These are lovely - I bought a pen recently for drawing onto ceramic but it's still in its bag - these have inspired me to take it out! x

Oh Penny they are fabulous! I may have to indulge in a coffee cup with one of your illustrations on if there's one going into your shop.

Penny these are awesome. If you start selling them I'll have to buy some to add to my ever growing collection of tea cups, saucers and teeny tiny little plates!

I love this idea, how did you do it? Maybe you could show us the process sometime..? I really like your idea of using opshopped ceramics and adding your own images to them, can't wait to see more xo

These look lovely - the little Mister and I decorate old cups regularly - such fun! Nic
P.S. thanks for the tip on handles - I think it's the gusset that's making it too bulky, even though I stuffed the inside with newspaper. Need more practice!

Wow Penny, they look awesome! If I were you, I'd plaster your designs over everything you can get your hands on!

Look forward to owning a Pocketcarnival mug to drink my morning coffee in. :)

How cool! I love the idea of hand drawn images on vintage crockery. Great idea! Make sure you post some of your finished works- I'm keen to see what you come up with!

I think that my smalls would have loved to eat their dinner to reveal a paper plane. Terrific work.
