pocket carnival fabric! and a sale!

I'm very excited, my latest delivery of fabric has finally arrived, and in amongst the fabric for pencilcases & coinpurses is something that might be of special interest to you: super new Pocket Carnival fabric!

I've been planning this for awhile, and now finally I'm selling fat quarters of fabric. I only have a handful of fabric now, but more birdies are on the way in the next couple of weeks, and in more colours too. (And maybe some other designs!)

My second piece of exciting news:

The new Pocket Carnival shop is now running!
A little welcome sale: 20% off all items!

Enter the code: newshop20off
And you'll received 20% off any purchase (valid until 2nd Feb 2010).
And, the store has free international shipping as well. Double fabulous!
(The code is only valid for purchases made from pocketcarnival.com.au/shop - I'll still be selling on Etsy & Madeit too, but the code does not apply there, sorry!)

If you'd like to be kept in the loop with future sales, new products & other fun things, please email me - penny [at] pocketcarnival.com.au - and I'll add you to my mailing list!

hello!

Hello! I'm still around, just having one of those little periods of personal hiccups, and business planning / ordering / waiting for things to arrive. So, not much to show lately! But I do have some excitement underway, with wrinkles being ironed out of a few plans, literally and figuratively. Hooray! Some of said excitement will be shared tomorrow.

Until then, many lovehearts.

(The loveheart purses are available on Etsy).

hearts for haiti

The news of the devastation occuring in Haiti has been very saddening to hear to say the least.

Victoria, a lovely Etsy seller, has set up a shop on Etsy - HeartsforHaiti.etsy.com

The profits made on items sold in HeartsforHaiti will be donated to Doctors Without Borders / Médecins Sans Frontières for their critical work in Haiti. I have donated a few little items, including some Best Friends art prints.

Please visit HeartsforHaiti.etsy.com to view the many many items will be donated over the coming days. If you are an Etsy seller and would like to donate an item, please visit HeartsforHaiti for submissions info.

time for love

I'm so happy to finally be able to show you my new little line of love-inspired products! I've been sitting (not literally) on these for awhile, but as it's now 1 month until Valentine's Day, it's high time I released them to the world.

Best Friends Forever is a little line of organic cotton coinpurses & pencilcases, plus greeting cards & gift tags made from recycled card.

You can give them to your love, as well as your best friend, your mum, your darling little child, or anyone else you may love.

Cheers for love!

Best Friends Forever are:
On Etsy, or
On Madeit (in $AU)

signs of work

Phew! It's been so hot the past few days, I've been spending a lot of time in front of the fan with a book or a dvd as company. I have managed to get in a little bit of work, as well as sewing up lots of Beetle Friends and Woodland Animals purses, I'm also busy preparing some sweet things for Valentines.

I think the purses look so pretty all stacked up together like this!

I'll be back tomorrow with some Valentine love.

beetle friends!

I've finished making the first batch of Beetle Friends purses, I am so happy with this fabric! I was inspired by the gorgeous striped book cover in this photo on decor8, and wanted to design something bright, colourful & happy.

I originally had in mind a simple floral design to go between the stripes, but I couldn't get the little beetles, which I had originally drawn in my sketchbook about a year ago, out of my head. So, Beetle Friends came to life!!!

You can purchase Beetle Life coinpurses & pencilcases:
On Etsy, or
On Madeit (in $AU)

The purses are all lined in a gorgeous recycled yellow & white flannel cotton, nice & soft.

The pencilcases are a great idea for a back-to-school or starting-school gift for any little people (or big people!) They're great for makeup or sunglasses too!

Please note: fabric design is copyright 2009-2010 Pocket Carnival. Hooray!

getting organised

I'm still rather sick (just a little cold) so am easing myself back into work - today was card-printing day. I have a fancy new calendar I bought myself at Lark - it's by Chronicle Books, and it's a perpetual calendar, so I get to change the date every day. So cute!

Perhaps my printer is not the best spot for it to perch, but it does make that corner of the room a bit prettier. Hooray for New Year organisation!
